SONRA x WS2 Proto "Walking Shoes" The SONRA brand is the brainchild of sneaker guru Hikmet Sugoer, founder of the legendary Berlin boutique SOLEBOX . Hikmet has ingrained himself in our minds and remained forever in our sneaker hearts, as he was one of the pioneers of shoe collaborations. Legendary releases on the 1500, Nazary, Toothpaste, Purple Devil... As well as collaborations with brands like Asics, Reebok, adidas... Hikmet has achieved everything that could be achieved in the sneaker market. SONRA is synonymous with quality – its shoes are handcrafted in a family-owned Portuguese factory. They are made using the highest quality materials – leather, suede, mesh, nubuck, and more. The collaboration between SONRA and WS2 was born out of a long-standing friendship between the WS2 store team and Hikmet Sugoer. We met 15 years ago while traveling to Berlin to buy trendy sneakers that weren't available in our home market. This is WS2's first sneaker collaboration. The design concept was simple: we wanted to create shoes that would match any outfit, that are a no-brainer—you can wear them anytime and do anything in them. Simply put: walking shoes. A mix of classic materials used for decades in the production of sports shoes - i.e., long-hair suede in a classic gray color - recalls and pays homage to a favorite series of everyday shoes, the 99X series from New Balance. The mesh on the upper is a different shade of grey, which in the right lighting conditions turns into a shade of lavender and contrasts beautifully with the rest of the upper. The silver panel made of reflective material is a nod to running shoes from the turn of the 1990s and 2000s. The WS2 brand logo proudly appears on the tongue, which can also be found embossed inside the shoe - on its insole. The interior of the shoe is made of delicate cream-colored leather, which adds charm and elegance to the entire design. The entire silhouette is highlighted with black accents made of suede and an embroidered SONRA brand logo on the side of the shoe. We wouldn't be ourselves if we didn't add something from ourselves, because we respect and like you very much, and such projects are mainly for you - since the shoes are for walking, we add a scarf to them as an accessory... to wear. For each pair of shoes inside the box, in addition to the eco-bag, we include the most fashionable accessory to complete any outfit - a 60 x 60 cm bandana, which can be conveniently and effectively tied around your neck or the neck of your dog. WALKING SHOES were created in a limited quantity of 150 pairs and will be available exclusively in-store in the WS2 store and online in the WS2 and SONRA websites.
